Managing Director

James F. Gartner

As Managing Director of Corporate Security Concepts, Jim Gartner monitors events around the world and turns his analysis into timely, valuable, and actionable information for his clients. Gartner spent 28 years with Carnegie Mellon University, serving ten of those as its Senior Director of Global Security. Between 2006 and 2012, Gartner directed security operations from Doha, Qatar, while the University expanded its global reach.

Today, Jim is based in Pittsburgh, overseeing operations and executive functions for CSC. He is actively engaged with multinational clients, supporting them with daily intelligence reports, security consulting, and long-term strategic planning.

Gary Caldwell

Senior Consultant

Gary Caldwell

Based in Istanbul, Gary Caldwell is a retired Special Agent/Regional Security Officer with the U.S. State Department's Diplomatic Security Service. He has more than 43 years of security experience with the U.S. Government and as a security consultant. His government career included assignments with the U.S. Air Force Security Police in North Dakota, Texas and Turkey and with the U.S. State Department in Lebanon, Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco, France, Saudi Arabia, the State Department and the Pentagon.

Gary was a founding partner of Garlin International and CSC. He has a B.A. in Sociology from Grove City College and M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Wayne State University. Gary remains active with the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC).
